Lille Europe is the name of the Eurostar station at Lille, a city in the north of France which is closer than either Paris or Brussels to the channel tunnel.
So what's there to do in Lille that might make you want to choose the city for Eurostar breaks ?
Apart from the huge shopping centre there is a burgeoning modern art scene in Lille with several high quality galleries worth a visit. The flemish old town centre is of interest and so is the big christmas market that takes place each year in the run up to the winter holidays season.
Travel time: By Eurostar from London: 1 hours 20min or if you are driving Lille is 70 miles from Calais.

London Weekend Breaks By Rail | London Theatre Breaks
One of my favourite city breaks in Europe despite all the new opportunities opening up in the South and the East of Europe will always be London in the UK. yes, I'm talking about UK city breaks to London. If you happen to live in the UK already, then there is a big advantage in not needing to cross any seas, pass any borders and most of all not having to wait around at airports. It's nearly always better to go by train on London Weekend Breaks By Rail from any larger UK city or even from the wider regional rail networks although that may involve an interchange. The wait for a connecting train is never anything like an airport transfer.
